Bernie Mac is dead at fifty from undisclosed causes. Bernie is best known from a recent campaign appeareance in support of Barack Obama when he gave an offensive introduction:"Being a president is tough 'cause you're not just running the country. You got to run your family too," Mac said. "Having a black first lady is different. You're still going to have to do the dishes and the laundry and all that … 'You got to pick up the kids. You didn't pick up the kids?' "
At one point a heckler protested and asked Mac to step down after an irreverent riff with crude jokes.
America’s reporters dutifully did not report the irreverant riff. But Barack then addressed Bernie, telling him to:
"clean up your act next time,"
But later, to avoid offense, said:
"By the way, I'm just messing with you, man."
Now, everybody put your hands in front of your head and form an O.
