So I say to myself, self, the old job just ain’t there no more, and it ain’t comin’ back so you better figure out some way to pay for your kids, short of becoming some whore taking a paycheck from a college or government.

And the natural answer is pizza. Or oil shale, but that comes after a big fight straightens the gyroscope.

This I have been working on for years, and I share this evening’s best ever with the Internet:

500g/300g flour/water; 1 tbsp olive oil; 2 tbsp melted butter; 1 tbsp sugar; 1 tbsp Sams Club Yeast (accept no substitutes)
---
6” pie pan
---
1.5 cups crushed tomatoes
3/4 oz basil by volume
1 oz oregano by volume
1 oz crushed garlic by volume
¼ cup olive oil
---
3 oz pepperoni
8 oz cheese
---
Bottom Crust: 225 g dough
Top crust: 125 g dough
---
Pepperoni then cheese then 2/3 sauce; then top crust; then the rest of the sauce.

20 minutes at 550F. Excellent.

America’s soon to be best pizza revealed. This particular recipe is a little too spicy for me, but hey. Cut down on the basil and oregano. This is really good pizza.
