An assessment of the three most influential events of the 20th Century:
1. Post-WWII economic surpluses.
2. The use of these surpluses in an attempt to equalize industry and intellect throughout the population.
3. The development of weapons of mass destruction.
A prediction of the three most influential events of the 21st Century:
1. The economic collapse of the welfare state.
2. The spread and use of weapons of mass destruction.
3. Advances in DNA mapping that allow differences in human ability to be quantified.
That being said, it is stunning to me that the New York Times would run the linked article: "In DNA Era, New Worries about Prejudice". The scientists must be getting close.
